Short version
This site uses no cookies and no tracking that requires consent. The only personal data processed is what you submit yourself through the contact form.
Data controller
Børresen Digital, Norwegian organisation number 938 537 720, is the data controller for the processing described here. The business is a sole proprietorship registered in the Norwegian Register of Legal Entities, run by Marcus Børresen.
Privacy enquiries go through the contact form. It is the fastest route in, and the only channel that is monitored.
The contact form
When you send an enquiry through the contact form, your name, email address and message are processed. The information is used solely to reply to your enquiry, and is sent as an email via the provider Resend to my inbox.
The information is kept for as long as the dialogue is ongoing, and deleted no later than twelve months after the last contact if it does not become a client relationship. If it turns into an engagement, the correspondence is retained for as long as Norwegian accounting law requires. The information is never shared with others and never used for marketing.
The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6.1.f): being able to respond to enquiries you initiate yourself.
The form has a simple spam filter that records how long it took to fill in, and how many submissions arrive from the same IP address within a fifteen-minute window. This is held in server memory only, only for as long as that window lasts, and is used solely to stop automated submissions.
Analytics
The site uses Umami, a cookie-free and anonymised analytics tool: aggregate visit numbers only, with no cookies and no identification of individuals. No personal data is stored, which is also why no consent banner is shown.
Data processors
These providers process data on my behalf:
- Vercel — hosting. Server logs containing IP addresses, deleted automatically after a short period.
- Resend — sending email from the contact form.
- Umami Cloud — anonymised visitor statistics.
All process data within the EU/EEA or under a lawful transfer mechanism.
Your rights
You can at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have submitted, by getting in touch via the contact form. You also have the right to object to the processing and to request data portability.
If you believe your data is being processed in breach of the regulations, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
